Riverfront Park Soundwalk is a site-specific, 20-minute artist audio walking tour of Troy, NY's waterways first launched for the public at the Rensselaer Historical Society in 2016. It is a past, present, and future overview based on sound artist Andrea Williams’ historical and environmental research and interviews with Troy residents and water experts. A smartphone and headphones are needed to experience the soundwalk. Soundwalk begins at the stairwell near 275 River St. Troy, NY.

Voting was open from JULY 17th to JULY 26th, 2018 for the public to choose their favorite visions of the future for Troy's waterways...
and to add their own ideas too!

The winners are: Rebecca (#18) for the vision of the future for Riverfront Park area: "Architecture/Design mix of Dutch roots and modern." For the vision of the future for north of Ingalls Ave Boat Launch you voted YES for Jerry's "The land is reborn...for authenticity. for eccentricity, for resilience."

Sound artist, Andrea Williams, has spoken with the winners on the details of their ideas, and she has used video and soundscape design to enhance the two winning ideas. The winning ideas are being presented to the city of Troy!
